Doggy Holidays
At BowWowMiaow we are very proud of our home boarding service. Your dog can come and stay with us, enjoy walks in the local countryside, and relax in our houses as part of the family! Plenty of TLC and plenty of exercise makes for a very happy pooch.
Our small team of home boarders are either part of our dog walking team or long-term friends of BowWowMiaow.
As we are a small team we can only accommodate a small number of dogs at any time. Busy times such as School holidays and Christmas get booked up quickly so please try to book well in advance!
Does your dog qualify for our doggy holidays?
Our home boarding service gets full very quickly with repeat bookings from our regular dog walking and home boarding customers. However, occasionally we do have an opening for a new pooch or two to join the pack and become a regular on our home boarding books.
To qualify for our home boarding service your dog must:

be friendly with humans and other dogs

be neutered (if over the age of 12 months)

be crate trained (if younger than 12 months)

be house trained

not show any signs of destructive behaviour in the house.

not show any signs of separation anxiety: they must be happy to be left alone in the house when humans go out, and also content when left alone in a different room in the house when humans are in the house.

Pass their initial consultation & trial night
Initial consultation and trial periods
If your dog qualifies for our home boarding service the first thing we will do is check availability for the dates you need.
We will then pop round to your home to meet you and your dog and have a chat about their likes and dislikes, and book your dog in for a trial night or two.
All new boarding dogs must pass their trial nights before your booking is confirmed, and at that point we will take a deposit to secure your holiday dates.
Leading up to your holiday we like to see all home boarding dogs on a regular basis, whether this be booking a weekly walk or a couple of taster nights (especially if we haven't seen your dog for a holiday or group walk for 6 months or longer)

Your dog's holiday
Our aim with our BowWowMiaow Doggy Holidays is to make your dog's stay as stress free as possible, and create a home from home environment that your dog gets excited about year after year.
We can tailor our holidays to suit all ages and activity levels - your dog may be super sociable and active and be matched with one of our dog walking team, or they may prefer a quieter stay with one of our purely home boarding team.

To qualify you must not work or only work part time from home, and be available most of the day, and your house must pass our boarding inspection inline with the local authority boarding licencing regulations.
